Gorilla Safari Lodge is located in the Rushaga region of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, this luxurious lodge lies at boundary of Bwindi forest and the best place to stay on your Gorilla trekking safari in the Rushaga region.

Rushaga region in BwindI Impenetrable National Park is the only region where you can go on a Gorilla Habituation experience, Rushaga region is famous for boasting two gorilla experiences namely gorilla habituation where you spend four hours with mountain gorillas and the normal gorilla trek where visitors spend one hour with mountain gorillas.

There are 8 cottages, two of which are double-roomed family units for families or for those traveling together.  The rooms are nicely furnished and one of the added pluses is that each cottage has a fireplace to take the chill out of the cold Bwindi Impenetrable Forest nights.  It does get chilly here due to the elevation of the area.  The cottages are solar-powered and there is plenty of hot water for a nice shower after gorilla tracking.

 It is small and intimate, it is composed of the main lodge which includes the restaurant, bar and a lounge where one can relax and sit back – there is usually a fire in the evening which adds to the ambiance of Gorilla Safari Lodge.  The food is excellent and expertly prepared for the guests and vegetarians can easily be accommodated.

Gorilla Safari Lodge gives visitors sweeping views of the ancient Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and beyond.  You are not far from Park headquarters in the Rushaga area of the park and you do not have to drive great distances on the morning of your gorilla trek.
