DAY 1

Arrival of your international flight. Met by our representative and transferred to a hotel.
Check-in and overnight stay on BB at the hotel.

DAY 2

Mount Karisimbi

06h30: After breakfast, depart for Mount Karisimbi to embark on a 6 hour hiking expedition. At 4,507 meters, Mount Karisimbi is the highest on the eight Virunga Mountains range. The trek takes you through some jungles that offer beautiful natural scenery. As you trek the mountain you expect to see various bird species as well as primates in their natural habitat.

Dinner and overnight stay in a tented camp.

DAY 3

Mount Karisimbi - Volcanoes National Park

06h30: Early Morning breakfast at the camping site. Depart for an early morning trek to the summit of Mount Karisimbi. On arrival at the summit you can enjoy some photo opportunity moments after which you start descending back to the base of the mountain.

Drive back to your lodge for a late lunch and spend the rest of the day relaxing.

Dinner and overnight at Mountain gorilla view lodge / Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge / Muhabura Hotel.

DAY 4

Volcanoes National Park

06h30: Early morning breakfast at the hotel/lodge then depart for the ORTPN offices for briefing prior to departing into the forest to start tracking the mountain gorillas. The thrilling trek through the refined foothills of the Virungas provides breath taking nature views.

Dinner and overnight at Mountain gorilla view lodge / Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge / Muhabura Hotel.

DAY 5

Volcanoes National Park

 06h30: Early morning breakfast is served at the hotel/lodge. Depart for the Volcanoes National Park forest to track the rare golden monkeys.

Primates you expect to view during the trek include the vervet monkeys, baboons and a variety of bird species and butterflies.

DAY 6

Volcanoes National Park – Kigali

06h30: Set off for an early morning mountain gorilla tracking adventure at the Volcanoes National Park

Tracking ideally will last anywhere between 30 minutes to 3 hours depending on your tour guide of the day
Depart for your home-bound international flight at Kigali International Airport.
